A set of three sessions designed to help participants learn how to navigate their iPads and/or iPhones. Please register for all three sessions as they build upon each other. Register all family members attending under one name.
Practice your reading skills by registering for a free 20-minute session to read with a certified St. John's Ambulance therapy dog! For ages 6 to 12.
Session times available are:
3:30 PM to 3:50 PM
4:00 PM to 4:20 PM
4:30 PM to 5:00 PM
When registering online, it will appear that you are registering for a 30 minute session, but the last 10 minutes of the session block are to provide a break for our dog. Sessions are only 20 minutes long.
Research shows that reading to a dog is tremendously motivational for kids and provides a calming, relaxed environment for children who may feel hesitant or anxious about reading.
Kids must be school-aged, able to read some words on their own, and feel comfortable reading with a dog and the dog’s adult handler.
Tuesday is board game night at the library. Feel free to bring your own game or use one of ours. From social games to in-depth strategy games, we have many to choose from!

Donna White’s novel, Selling Katie brings light to a subject rarely visited in young adult literature: human trafficking in the sex trade. White will share stories from her research and discuss how true-to-life her novel is. Her goal is to place this book into as many teens hands as possible.
