HOW TO PARTICIPATE

1. Participate by picking up a Read Woke Brochure at the Downtown Kelowna, Vernon or Salmon Arm Branch.

2. Complete Badges by reading woke books and writing reviews about them. 

3. Win prizes! The first 10 readers to complete 3 Badges gets a Read Woke T-Shirt! For every Badge get a draw ticket for a chance to win a book or other small prizes!

Eleanor Deckert's Memoir Writing Method

Perhaps you keep a Journal, or you are the family historian. Maybe you entertain friends with stories of your experiences. Do you remember details of your grandparents' lives? Are you a grandparent? You may know people, places and dates spanning five generations, a full century! The problem is: How to write a memoir? It's more than a list of what happened first, and then and then and then... You could learn to preserve these family treasures for future generations... or publish for readers everywhere. Eleanor is eager to share her Memoir Writing Method with beginners and challenge writers who have attempted memoir and hope to improve the reader's experience.
