Second Wednesday of the month stop in the library with your preschooler to see what book and projects we are featuring this month. Staff will have a story and different projects on hand for your preschooler to explore!
This coding club will work through one theme, language, and major project a month. The session on the second Wednesday of the month is the best entry point, as the session on the fourth Wednesday of the month will directly build on what was learned on the previous session.
We'll be picking projects and languages based on the interests of attendees of the last month's programs - the instructor has experience with Web Development (HTML/CSS/JS), Python and its libraries, Scratch and Game-making, Bash and Linux usage, and will be focusing on skills that are cross-transferable between languages.
This is a 1 hour and 45 minute period you can get certified to use the Makerspace equipment.
If you are interested in getting certified or using the Makerspace equipment in Rutland at this time, please contact staff to set up an appointment! You will need to bring government issued ID to complete the certification process. Makerspace users under the age of 19 will need to bring their Parent/Guardian to co-sign the waiver and agreement.
