Intro to Designing in Blender 3D

This program will introduce you to Blender 3D modeling software. We'll review the interface, learn some basic techniques, and see what makes Blender such a versatile and exciting tool!

This is a 1-hour virtual program offered via Zoom. To take part, you will need a Zoom-compatible computer or mobile device. 

Registration is Required. When you register, you will receive an email with instructions for how to join our Zoom meeting.

Blender will run on PC or Mac devices; if your computer meets the requirements below, you may choose to install the software and follow along. If not, then feel free to simply watch and enjoy!  You can experience Blender on the ORL Makerspace “Creation Station” media computers in the Kelowna and Golden locations.

  • 64-bit dual core 2Ghz CPU with SSE2 support
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 1280×768 display
  • Mouse, trackpad or pen+tablet
  • Graphics card with 1 GB RAM, OpenGL 3.3
