Putting the Flesh on Your Ancestor’s Bones: Finding Biographical Information for Family History, presented by Claire Smith-Burns of the KDGS

Names, dates and places are the skeleton outline of your ancestors’ lives but what we really want to know is, “Who were these people?” This workshop will survey many different sources that may hold biographical information, helping you to understand the lives and personalities of your ancestors.

Donna White’s novel, Selling Katie brings light to a subject rarely visited in young adult literature: human trafficking in the sex trade. White will share stories from her research and discuss how true-to-life her novel is. Her goal is to place this book into as many teens hands as possible. Classes, homeschoolers and individuals are all welcome to register.
