"Borrow" and "Return" vegetable, fruit, and flower seeds from the library. Patrons can take up to seven packages a year. In return, we ask that you share any extra produce, especially with the Food Bank or Community Fridge. We also appreciate your saving seeds and giving them to the library to continue the cycle. Our Seed Library relies on local seed savers to refill the seeds each year. We graciously accept seeds from local growers.

Solve 3 puzzles to find the numeric code that will open the lock and free your loot. We will have bags specifically for Teens and some specifically for Seniors. Come into the library to sign one out. Limited quantities available.

Join us for an energetic half hour of songs, rhymes, fingerplays, instruments, & stories that focus on early literacy & language development. Toddler Time is our interactive literacy program that helps grow the roots of a lifelong love of language. Bond with your toddler through play time, songs, books, and dance. This program is recommended for toddlers from 18 months to 3 years of age. Caregiver participation is required.

Enjoy thirty minutes of songs, rhymes and stories. 

Story Time runs on Thursdays at 10:30AM and Saturdays at 3:30PM from April 4 through May 25.

Please have an adult/caregiver remain with your child(ren) for the whole program.

This FREE DROP IN Story Time is recommended for children ages 3 - 6 years and their caregiver.

Interested in playing Scrabble and meeting new friends? Come to the Salmon Arm Library Scrabble club every Thursday from 11 am-12 pm and every Saturday from 1-2 pm. 

Stories, rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and fun for preschoolers and their caregivers. This is an early literacy-based program and all are welcome!

Enjoy time with your children and socialize with other families. The play area is always open but most popular right after Story Time or Baby Time. 

After Story Time we encourage you to visit our early years play area. Have fun with your little ones and connect with other families.

Welcome to Classics Book Club, a virtual book club where we tackle a classic novel together and meet online every 1st and 3rd Thursday to discuss what we’ve read. 

Participants are responsible for finding their own copy of the books. Many titles are availble as ebooks or audiobooks through Okanagan Regional Library - OverDrive. 

Online registration is required. Please ensure your email address is entered correctly, as we will be sending you the the link to participate shortly before the event. You will need a computer, smartphone or tablet and WiFi connection to participate.
